Professor Stevenson is holder of the Stevenson Chair at the London School of Economics. His main fields of interests lie in international relations during the nineteenth and twentieth centuries; and especially the origins, course and impact of the First World War. He has many TV appearances, including being on the expert panel on ‘The Pity of War’ televised debate that was broadcast by the BBC2 and was interviewed by Michael Portillo for ‘The Railway War, 1914-1918’, Montreuil-sur-mer. He was also consultant to the programme.
